Update Feed on monday.com: Tracking changes and comments
The Update Feed is where you can see all of your new updates. From boards and items you’re subscribed to, to updates that directly mention you or your team! Instead of checking each of your boards to see what’s new, you can simply check your Update Feed and see everything in one place. This is a great way to make sure you’re up to date with all the important changes and correspondence within your account!
How to use your news feed
No matter what you’re working on in your account, you’ll always see the Small Feed icon in the top toolbar of your screen. Above the Feed icon, you’ll see a small number representing the number of new updates in your feed.

- Back up or reply to an update
You can easily comment or reply to a post, right there in the feed! To reply, click the “Reply” button in the bottom right corner of the post and type your response in the text box. To respond, tap the “Like” button and choose from a wide variety of emojis.

- Mark when read
To mark your update as “read” and remove it from your news feed, simply click the blue check mark to the right of the update.

- Undo the last close
When you click the tick next to an update, you “close” it, removing it from your feed. Once it’s closed, a green arrow appears at the top of the screen. If you click the green arrow, you can undo the last closed update, and go back to it in the feed! This will only apply to the most recent update , not any other updates that were closed before.

- Mark an update as a favorite
If you want to save a feed for later, click the arrow in the top right corner of the feed to open its menu and click “Mark as Favorite.” From this menu, you can also copy the link, delete it, share it, or edit it (if it’s yours)!

News feed display options
You can sort the updates you see using the tabs at the top of your news feed. You can choose to view:
- All updates – updates from platforms you subscribe to
- I was mentioned – only the updates where you were mentioned as ‘@’
- All updates in your account – updates from every board in your account, even if you are not subscribed to it
- Flagged updates – All updates you have marked as favorites for later use
Sort your news feed
In the left side panel you will find your “Feed Settings”, where you will see a list of all the boards you are subscribed to. Here, you can choose to hide or show updates for each particular board.
Quickly clean up your news feed
If you’re subscribed to a board you want to follow, but don’t need to check all its updates? Click the three dots next to a board in the left-hand sidebar and select “Close All” to close all updates from that board! This is not permanent, so as long as you remain subscribed to that board, you’ll continue to receive updates.

The difference between the news feed and bell notifications
On the left side panel of your screen, there are two places to stay up to date with important things within your account:
- News feed
- Bell notifications

Each of the messages serves a specific purpose.
