At monday.com, we believe in the potential of your app in the market and strive to help you promote it effectively to our user base through our marketing team.
This article will guide you on promoting apps on the marketplace and how your app can be promoted to monday.com users.

Our app market

The App Market includes apps developed by third-party developers as well as apps built by the monday team using the App Framework. These apps help monday.com users analyze and visualize data in new ways, as well as collaborate more effectively across their organization.

App promotion

Our app marketplace marketing team uses an internal scoring system to evaluate apps based on pre-defined criteria (see the Parameters section below). This score is calculated by our review team and our growth product marketing team.
In addition, we also consider the conversion rates from visit to install and from install to paid subscription after an app has been on the market for 3 months.

We also consider the context and complexity of the app implementation. For example, we wouldn’t want to promote a complex app that requires a lot of setup work in a short magazine. Because we have specific goals and places to promote, only certain apps will be promoted directly by our team.

Key parameters for evaluating an application

Our evaluation process is in-depth and focused on several key parameters that determine whether an application will be selected or not.

  • Idea : We are looking for applications that provide a solution to a problem for a significant number of users. These solutions can be domain-specific (vertical) or general (horizontal).
  • Functionality : The app should be fully functional, providing features that meet the needs of our users.
  • Accessibility : Accessibility includes how easy your app is to use, the UI design, and how the app’s functionality is explained to users.
  • Marketing assets : Effective and attractive marketing assets on your app page are critical to attracting users.
  • Pricing : The app’s pricing structure should be clear, fair, and explained according to the value it provides to users.

Featured Apps and Editor’s Choice

If your app meets the key parameters, it can receive the following special labels designed for featured apps:

  • Featured apps

These apps provide broad solutions that can serve a large audience. They get a featured spot in our store, which attracts attention from a wider group of users.

Product pop-up suggestions

In-product pop-up offers are notifications that pop up when a user performs a specific in-product action that is related to the value and core functionality of your app.

It is important to note that we are very careful with our decision to incorporate pop-up offers. In order to select apps for pop-ups, we consider two aspects:

  • Technical capabilities:

We have technical limitations that only allow us to add certain types of triggers. We create the offer details on a case-by-case basis, so the triggers are relatively simple.

  • Experiential considerations

Relevance – We want to make sure we don’t interrupt users when they’re working and we don’t want to interrupt them unless our offering is relevant to their work. That is, both the app and the use case need to be relevant to the user.

App Quality – Only top-notch apps that meet all the criteria specified in the first part of the article will be reviewed.
