This professional certificate is designed for developers who participate in all phases of cloud development, from requirements definition, planning and design, through development, deployment and maintenance, to performance tuning and monitoring. The program teaches developers how to create end-to-end solutions in Microsoft Azure. Students will learn how to implement compute solutions in Azure, create Azure Functions, deploy and manage web applications, develop solutions that use Azure storage, implement authentication and authorization, and protect their solutions with KeyVault and managed identities. Students will also learn how to connect to and consume Azure and external services, and include event-based and message-based models in their solutions. The professional certificate also covers monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing Azure solutions.
This program includes 8 courses to help you prepare for the AZ-204: Developing Solutions for Microsoft Azure exam. Each course teaches you the concepts and skills measured on the exam.
At the end of this program, you will be ready to take the AZ-204 certification exam.
Experiential learning project
Learners will participate in interactive exercises throughout the program, offering opportunities to practice and apply what they learn. They use the Microsoft Learn Sandbox. This is a free environment that allows learners to explore Microsoft Azure and gain hands-on experience with live Microsoft Azure resources and services.
For example, when learning about data integration, transformation, and consolidation, you will work in a temporary Azure environment called a Sandbox or directly in the Azure portal. The advantage of this is that you will be working with real technology, but in a controlled environment, allowing you to apply what you have learned at your own pace.
You will need a Microsoft account. If you don’t have one, you can create one for free. The Learn Sandbox provides free, temporary access to a cloud subscription without the need for a credit card. Learners can explore, create, and manage resources securely, without fear of costs or “production disruption.”
