Findings from a study conducted with Google Cloud certifiers in May 2019 by an independent research organization. ## Applied Learning Project Learners will work with VPC networks spanning multiple regions and multiple countries. They will use open tools to collect network information, including latency, connectivity, and traffic. They will use this information to determine where network performance can be improved. They will build a minimal web application using Google App Engine and then explore different ways to use Identity-Aware Proxy (IAP) to restrict access to the application and provide information about the user’s identity. They will create different types of load balancers and demonstrate how network performance can be improved. Finally, they will build and test a high-cost VPN between a simulated VPC and an internal network environment. This will include building VPN gateways and a tunnel between the two networks.
