Have you ever asked yourself, “How many items can a board hold?” That’s a great question! To keep our boards performing at a high level, we have a limit of 10,000 items per board, on all plans except the Enterprise plan, which allows 100,000 items.
In this article, we’ll learn more about the reasons for this limit, as well as tips to help if your board reaches the limit. Let’s get started!

Why is there a limit on the number of items?
At monday.com, we strive to keep our boards as fast and smooth as possible, so that teams can work at their best. To do this, we need to limit the number of items per board. Therefore, the limit is 10,000 items per board on all plans except the Enterprise plan, which allows 20,000 items.
What happens if we reach the limit?
If you have reached the limit of items on your board, you will see a banner at the top of the board saying you have reached the limit. You will then be unable to add more items until those are removed from your board.
If your board has reached its limit, don’t worry! Below we’ll look at ways you can remove items from your board so you’re back within the limit quickly.
