How to work with the Countdown Widget on monday.com
[fact_box]
**Interesting fact:** The bubble chart can also be used as a tool for project risk analysis. By displaying potential risks on one axis, their impact on another axis, and their likelihood as the size of the bubble, you can get a clear picture of the most significant risks that need to be addressed.

Have you ever wanted a simple way to visualize several different parameters of data from your work? Looking for a way to gain insights, measure results, or prioritize your work based on numerical data? With a bubble chart, you can easily display up to three different numerical values in relation to each other in one place.

Where do I find the bubble chart?
The bubble chart is found as part of the Chart Widget in our Dashboards. To place the bubble chart, create a new dashboard or dashboard view, then add the chart widget. From there, under the “Chart type” section in the widget settings, select the bubble chart:

How does it work?
In a bubble chart, the location of the bubble’s X and Y axes, as well as the size of the bubble, are determined by different numeric values in your board. Therefore, you should have two or three numeric values in your board using Number or Formula columns.
For example, in our “Tea Imports Project Portfolio” table below, we have three different numerical values that we want to compare to each other:
- The allocated amount
- Estimated cost estimate
- singularity

Once you have configured your bubble chart (more on that later!), each bubble on the chart will represent one item from your board. From there, the bubble’s position and size will be set based on the number columns from your board.
We’ve set up our bubble chart below so that the estimated cost estimates are on the X-axis, the allocated amount is on the Y-axis, and the Ordered units determine the size of the bubble.

Chart definition
To set up your bubble chart, you need to determine what numeric value will be displayed on the X-axis, Y-axis, and the size of the bubble. Let’s go over each of these features below!
- X-axis
First, to determine how the bubbles will position themselves horizontally on your chart, click on the “X-Axis” section in the chart settings. From there, select the type of column you want to display and then the relevant column from your table, like this:

- Bubble radius
Next, to choose what value will determine the size of each bubble on your chart, click the “Bubble Radius” section in the chart settings. Here, you have two options:
-
- Choose a fixed bubble size so that all bubbles on your chart will have the same radius and the size will not change depending on the values on your board.
- Set the bubble size according to a numerical value from your board. With this, the higher the number, the bigger the bubble!

In our example, we chose to set the bubble radius based on units ordered so we could easily understand which items were ordered the most based on the size of the bubble!
- Y-axis
And finally, it’s time to choose how the bubbles will position themselves vertically on your chart! To do this, click on the “Y-Axis” category in the chart settings and select the numerical value you want to display here:

**Note:** If you have more than 500 items in your dashboard, you may need to filter the data to show only the most important items. This will help keep the chart clear and readable.

Important things to know
When using the bubble chart, it is important to remember the following:
- The bubble chart is defined by three elements : X-axis, Y-axis, and bubble size.
- The X-axis, Y-axis, and bubble size parameters only support numeric columns , and cannot display data from a status column or other non-numeric values.
- The bubble chart can display data from up to 500 items . If you have more than 500 items on the board, there won’t be enough room to display them all at once on the chart.
