How to use the DocuSign app with monday.com Available to account managers on a DocuSign Business Pro subscription or higher, or accounts with Advanced API enabled

Here at monday.com, we focus on saving time, working efficiently, and keeping everything in one place. That’s why we see great importance in introducing the DocuSign app! With this app, you won’t have to leave your workflow to sign important documents, because everything is integrated directly into your board! Let’s see how it works.

How to install DocuSign

To install the DocuSign app on your account, start by accessing the monday.com marketplace by clicking the puzzle icon in the top right corner of your screen. Then, search for and select “DocuSign,” then click “Install App.”

On the next screen, select the workspace where you want to download the app and then click “Install”.download (3).gif

You will then be asked to select a specific workspace and board to connect the app to.

DocuSign Item View

After installing DocuSign from the App Store, you will be automatically redirected back to your chosen board, and the item view will jump to your first item. Click “Join” and enter your login information. Group 64 (16) (1) 1.png

How to use the DocuSign app with monday.com
Note: If you are not automatically redirected or if you would like to select a different board, simply go to the board and open any item. Click the plus sign in the top right corner to add a new view, and select “DocuSign” under Installed Apps.

To get the most out of this app, there is a recommended list of columns to add to your board. You can add them yourself, or add them all at once by clicking the yellow “Add DocuSign Columns” button. If you don’t want to add these columns, you can click “Skip this step” to continue.

How to use the DocuSign app with monday.com
Show me what these columns do!
  • Last Envelope Status – The DocuSign integration will update this column with the status of the last envelope sent for the item.
  • Last Updated – The DocuSign integration will update this column with the time the item was last updated.
  • File – The app will import files from this column into your envelope. Use our integration to automatically add the signed documents back to this column.
  • Email – The app will display all envelopes sent to the item’s email column. When the email column is empty, no envelopes will be displayed.

DocuSign app integration

To add the DocuSign app integration, go to the Automation Center and click “DocuSign.”Screenshot 2024-06-20 at 20.43.39 1.png

Next, select the DocuSign template. Currently, there is one template available, but we are always working on improvements and extensions, so keep that in mind! Group 64 (18).png

Once you add it, you will be asked to authorize DocuSign. Group 64 (19).png

Fill in the fields marked with a marker in the template and add it to your board!

How to use the DocuSign app with monday.com
Tip: An “envelope” is a folder of documents sent to the recipient for them to sign.
Interesting uses for DocuSign:
  • Using DocuSign to quickly approve business contracts, allowing companies to close deals faster.
  • Integrating DocuSign into recruitment processes, so that employment contracts and related documents can be signed digitally and securely.
  • Using DocuSign in internal approval processes in organizations, such as approving budgets or legal documents, which streamlines the process and reduces the need for paperwork.
