We’re sure you have great boards that hold everything you’re working on. Your boards are neat, organized, and detailed, but you may still feel overwhelmed at times as you scan and review everything every day. Good news – now you don’t have to!

We’ve created a board view that will detail your board and display the items by date in an attractive calendar format – the Calendar View!

How does it work?

The calendar view and widget are a great tool to use during client meetings, to schedule appointments, and to view the dates from your items in calendar mode. You can filter the view by month, week, or day, depending on your preference! In one view, you can see all of your upcoming items without being pushed around by things that can wait a little longer.

In addition, you also have the option to view your boards within one or multiple boards (via a dashboard).

Settings and customization

Open your calendar settings by clicking the gear icon in the top right:

  • Select a time column

If you have more than one time column in your calendar (Timeline, Date, or Week Column), you can choose which ones to display in the calendar view or widget! From here, you can change what you want to display on your calendar by selecting the corresponding columns you want to display on your calendar!

Note: As of today, we support Timeline, Date, or Week columns in the Calendar Timeline setting. Formula columns defined as date are not supported here.
  • Color your items as you wish.

Your calendar automatically labels events by the group of items that arrive. To customize this, you can use the drop-down menu to choose how you want them labeled! You can choose to label groups (using your group colors), a status bar (using your label colors), or people!

Customizing the time and date

You can view your calendar items by month, week, or day. In the image below, we see the ‘Month’ tab in the calendar to see the items that need to fail over the coming month!

Use the arrows to jump to the next month, week, or day (depending on which tab you’re viewing!). If you get lost, you can always click the ‘Today’ button to return to today’s date on the calendar!
