With this amazing widget, keeping track of your projects has never been easier!

The Overview Widget collects and summarizes progress from your selected boards in one place on your dashboard. It’s a great way to get a big picture of what’s happening on each project and overall! ♀️

Note: This feature is only available in Pro and Enterprise plans.

Add the widget

Click “Add Widget” at the top of the dashboard page to see the list of options and select “see more”. From there, select “Overview” as shown below:

Choose your boards

Next, you will be asked to select the boards you want to display in your widget:

Note: The Overview Widget is based on Timeline or Date columns and Status columns, so you must enter project dates and/or times and statuses into these columns before we can see the data displayed in the widget.

How to set it up

In the right panel, you can configure the Overview Widget with completely custom settings. You can choose the status columns you want to include in addition to dates or even specific groups.

How does it work?

Now that your widget is ready, you can check it to see where you stand on all your projects!

**Important Note:** Make sure all boards you connect to the Overview widget are up to date with accurate dates and statuses. This will ensure that the information you see is reliable and helpful.

Each row in your overview widget represents one of your connected boards.

  • The “Name” column displays the name of your board.
  • The “Dates” column shows the earliest and latest date of each project!
  • The project’s “progress” is displayed as a battery-style rectangle that gives you a visual representation of the overall progress of the project. White represents the number of tasks remaining to be completed, and blue represents tasks that have already been marked “Done.”
  • The “Status” column will display a label, automatically generated based on your project status and schedule! When you have achieved all of your tasks, a green label will read “Completed”. When you are “On track” with your tasks, a blue label will indicate that you can complete most of the tasks on time, and the project is progressing at a great pace! When you have deadlines approaching or passed, and few tasks remaining, you will see a yellow “At risk” label. When you are missing several tasks, and deadlines have passed or are fast approaching, you will see a red “Behind schedule” label.

Now you can see where you stand on all your projects at a glance!

Tip: Click on each row to launch the board it’s linked to so you can see more details and get busy achieving your goals!

**Interesting Use:** Educational organizations use the Review widget to track student progress on group projects. This allows teachers to see which groups are on time and which need extra help, improving the support and guidance they provide.
