As an administrator, you have unique capabilities that allow you to install and remove apps, review app installation requests, pay for apps, and update their permissions.
The “Management” section of monday is an entire space dedicated to apps where you can access each of these capabilities. In this article, you’ll learn everything you need to successfully manage the apps in your account. Let’s get started!
Installing apps
Account administrators are the only users who can install apps on accounts. To learn how to install an app on your account, check this out!
Reviewing app installation requests
Every time another user tries to install an app, monday automatically sends a request to the account administrators. These requests are collected in the “Pending Installs” tab, but you will also receive an email and a platform notification whenever there is an installation request. The app will not be installed until the request is approved.
To help the manager determine whether to accept or reject the request, the person requesting can submit an explanation of their needs.

You can manage these requests by clicking on your profile in the top right corner and selecting “Manage.” Click on “Apps” in the menu on the left, and the “Pending Installs” tab will appear below the page title:

Click “Install” for the app you want to install, or click “X” to decline the request. You can also click the dots menu to see more information about the app!
Payment for apps
When you install an app on your account, you need to choose which plan you want to sign up for. Many apps offer free or trial plans that let you try out the app in addition to the paid plans. You can always upgrade from a free plan to a higher plan, or sign up for a paid plan after your trial.
All app plan management is done by clicking on your profile in the top right corner and selecting “Manage.” Click on “Apps” to open a list of the apps installed on your account. If you have a free plan that can be upgraded to a paid plan, or if your plan has expired (trial or paid), you will see a green “See Plans” button. Click on the button and select the plan you would like to sign up for!

Update apps
Developers continually improve and patch their apps, and these updates are pushed to users via new versions of the apps. Most changes are automatically applied to users and do not require manual updates, but some updates, such as changes to permissions or scope, must be made by an administrator.
To do this, click on your profile in the top right corner and select “Manage”. Click on “Apps” from the menu on the left side to open a list of the apps installed on your account. Any apps that need an update will appear with an “Update” button next to the three dots. Click on the button and follow the instructions to update your app!

Editing app permissions
As the account administrator, you can easily update an app’s permissions to add or remove it from a workspace! Click your profile in the top right corner and select “Manage”. Click “Apps” from the menu on the left. Find the app you want to edit, click the three dots, and select “Permissions”. This will open a window where you can add the app to all or specific spaces:

You can also use this feature to manage app restrictions on your account!
Removing apps
Have you installed an app on your account and want to remove it? No problem! As the account administrator, you can easily remove an app from your account in a few simple steps.
Click on your profile in the top right corner and select “Manage”. Click on “Apps” from the menu on the left. Find the app you want to remove, click on the three dots and select “Remove”. A dialog box will appear where you can click on the blue “Remove” button. Once you do this, the app will be immediately removed and all its features will be removed from your account!
App tracking
You can keep up to date with which marketplace integrations are being used on your boards. Track them by navigating to the Automation Center and then clicking the “Connections” tab.

Account administrators can see all integrations used by the account in the “Management” section under “Connections.”
