Display all your item information in one central place, within the feed, with the Item Card! This great feature collects data from your item columns and displays it in card form, saving you time and providing you with transparency into all relevant information about your item.
Item card definition
You’ll find the item card in the Item Watch Center. To get there, open the updates area for each item and click “Add Watch.” Find the item card in the Item Watch Center and select “Add to Item” to get started.

Once you’ve added the item card to your item, it will appear as a new tab in your feed:

Adjusting the item card
The item card is fully customizable to display the exact information about the item you need! To open the item card settings, click the three-dot menu located in the upper right corner of the card and select Settings.

Once you are in the item card settings, you will see a list of columns on your board. Select the columns you want to display on the card by checking the boxes or unchecking a box to remove a particular column.

Adding more widgets
The item card works by collecting data from your columns and email and activity app and presenting it in a simple yet powerful card format. You can add different elements to the item card by adding additional widgets, of which we have a variety to choose from.
If you click the blue “Add Widget” button, you’ll see a list of widget options available to you:

Click on the name of the widget you want to use and a dynamic widget panel will be added to your item card. To learn more about what widgets are available and how they can support your work, keep reading!
Available widget types
1. Information
The Info widget is the core of the item card. It is the default widget when you add the item card. With this widget, you can view all the columns in your dashboard at a glance.

2. Text
Using this option, you can add a widget that shows all the fields from the text column on your item. To select the columns displayed in this widget, click the eye icon in the upper right corner of the widget and check the boxes for the columns you want to display.

3. Connected boards

There is a limit on the number of connected items that can be returned in the Connected Boards widget. Therefore, in the Connect Boards widget, there is a limit of 100 connected items that can/will be returned in the widget.
4. Sub-items
Add this widget to see the item’s sub-items in the item card. You can also edit the information in your sub-item columns using this widget.

5. Email and Activities
If you haven’t discovered it yet, the Email & Activities app is a powerful way to manage all your CRM activities and communications in one place. If you add the widget to your dashboard, you won’t have to switch between tabs to use the app.

6. Git UI
Available only on the Monday Dev product, the GitHub UI app lets you view data from your GitHub repositories and view all branches, commits, pull requests, and CI/CD status for each of your development tasks, right on your item card!
Organizing your widgets
The structure of your item card is completely flexible! To adjust the size of any widget on your card, simply hover over it and then use the blue dot in the lower right corner to adjust its size. You can also arrange the widgets in any way that suits you! Hover over the widget and select the handle in the upper left corner to drag the widget to a new location on the card.

The widgets you add and how you arrange them will apply to every item card in the board.
