monday.com is designed to be at the heart of every type of work, where customers can build the workflows that fit their every need. To achieve this goal, we launched monday AI. This tool will open up your possibilities in interacting and building on the WorkOS platform. Read on to learn more!
Who can use Monday AI?
When a user first tries out monday AI, if it has not been approved for their account, they will need to submit a request to their administrator for approval. When a request is submitted, the administrator will receive an email notification. To use monday AI, the administrator must agree to the monday AI Terms of Service. This process is different for Enterprise users. Please note: The Terms of Service for this tool are different from the general Terms of Service for the platform. You should read the monday AI Beta Terms of Service before adding monday AI to your account.
How to enable or disable Monday AI
The admin can enable or disable monday AI on the account through the admin area. First, click on your image process in the top right corner of the page and then select Manage. From the admin page, select Customize from the left-hand panel, then click on Features. Scroll down to enable or disable AI features and select On or Off.

As an initial offering, monday.com will gradually release a collection of innovative apps built internally on the same monday AI Assistant infrastructure that external developers will soon be able to build on. These apps will support a variety of uses, from sharing helpful suggestions to improving workflows, and will include:
- Automatic task creation: Accessing any board, this app can be used to create project plans based on your input and goals.
- Summarize and Rewrite: Focus on what matters as monday AI summarizes complex topics, rewrites, and delivers relevant action items.
- Monday Docs: Get Started with AI! Use AI to create a template to help you get started with your documents.
- Formula Building: Describe a team task or goal to monday AI and it will create a formula to help complete those tasks more efficiently.
- Create quick updates and responses: Use AI to write and respond in the updates area of each item.
- Email Generator: Save time by using this monday AI app to quickly write and edit emails within monday Sales CRM.

What models does Monday AI use?
Monday AI uses Microsoft Azure’s OpenAI master AI model service and will continue to explore different models to expand our AI capabilities.
How does Monday AI ensure the security of my data?
monday AI implements comprehensive security practices across all of our products and services. We evaluate each AI model provider to ensure they meet monday.com’s privacy and data security standards.
Does Monday AI support data location restriction?
Yes. Data processed by monday AI will comply with the same data zone settings and policies as set in your account. More information can be found on our legal portal.
Does Monday AI use my input or performance to benefit other customers?
The inputs and outputs you receive from Monday AI are not used to improve our models for other clients, and are not shared with other users.
Why does monday.com require admin and user permission to run monday AI?
Monday AI requires the moderator and users to go through additional terms that must be accepted in addition to the platform’s standard terms of use.
Are there any limits on the use of Monday AI?
Currently, there are no limits on the use of Monday AI. In the future, there will be limits.
What AI service does monday.com use?
Monday AI uses Azure OpenAI as its LLM (Large Language Model) provider. By using Azure OpenAI, Monday AI leverages the security capabilities of Microsoft Azure.
Will the data processed by AI apps stay in my region?
Monday AI is run on protected servers to maintain our security practices. If your Monday account data region is the US, your Monday AI input and output will be processed on Azure servers in the Americas. If your Monday account data region is the EU, your Monday AI input and output will be processed on Azure servers in Europe. Monday AI is not currently available to those with accounts in Australia.
Does monday.com allow AI to train models using my input or output?
We do not use your inputs or outputs to train machine learning models, and we do not authorize others to do so.
