With monday.com, you can easily manage all your files in one place, whether they’re photos, contracts, or just documents. You can upload files to the Files Column or Updates Section or to the dedicated Files Gallery view. This view allows you to see all the files from your board in a centralized view, in a gallery style, or as a widget within your Dashboard!

Add the Files Gallery view to the Board

To add the Files Gallery view to your board, clickFiles Gallery View on monday.com: How to view and organize files option at the top of your board (it will say “Add View” when you hover over it) and select “Files Gallery” from the drop-down menu:

How to use it?

  • Grid or list format display

You have the option to view your files as thumbnails in a grid or as a list of files. Click the “Grid” and “List” icons in the upper right corner to switch between the two types:

  • Customize the files you see

Customize which files you want to see in the settings! Click the three-dot menu in the top right corner of the Files Gallery and select “Settings.” Choose which columns of files you want to show and which files are updates or only from the Files Gallery, or both!

Note: Files adopted from a cloud-based system like Dropbox, Google Drive, or Monday Docs are not supported in Files Gallery. Only standalone files with their own location, like Word documents and PDFs, will display in Files Gallery.

In what different ways can I view the Files Gallery?

You have the option to view the Files Gallery in normal, table, or split mode! When in full screen mode, click the view type icon next to the settings wheel and choose which view you want!

Can I download my files?

Easily download your files together as a zip file or individually! Download them all as a zip file by clicking the download icon in the top right corner of your screen. To download a file individually, click the three-dot menu located in the top right corner of each file and select “Download File”. You can also click on the file to enlarge it and click the download icon at the bottom of the screen.
