Being a board member allows you to stay up to date with all the updates posted on your favorite boards and items. Board members can subscribe to the entire board or just specific items on the board! Read on to learn more

Become a board member

When you create a board, you automatically become the owner of the board. From there, you can invite other team members to be members of your board. You can also make them owners if you want them to have additional permissions on that board.

To become a member of an existing board or add a member, simply click the “Invite” button at the top of your board as shown in the image below:

Then, simply type your name or the name of one of your team members in the search bar and click on them to add them!

You can also add friends using their email address! All you have to do is type their email address in the search bar and click “Invite a new member by email”:

Remove subscribers from a board

To unsubscribe yourself or others from a board, click the “Invite” button in the top right of the board, then click the “x” next to your name to remove yourself or others. If you own the board (indicated by a blue crown next to your name), you will need to assign a new owner before you can remove yourself as a member of the board. For more information about board owners, see this article.

Note: If you unsubscribe from a collaborative or private board, you will lose access to that board and will need to be invited again.

Subscribe or unsubscribe to an item

There are different ways to register for an item:

• When you create an item, you will automatically be subscribed to that item.
• When you are assigned a task, you will automatically become a subscriber to that item.

At any time, you can add new subscribers to your items or subscribe to an item. To do this, open the updates section of an item and click on the three-dot menu located in the upper right corner. Then, click on “Manage subscribers” as shown in the image below.

From there, you can subscribe to this item for yourself and others. You can unsubscribe from an item by clicking the ‘x’ next to your name.

How do I get updates?

When you subscribe to a board/item, you will automatically start receiving updates whenever someone posts an update on that board/item. Check out this article to learn everything you need to know!
