Facebook Ads Integration with monday.com
Practical tip: If you’re running multiple campaigns at once, consider using the ‘Status’ column in your dashboard to track the progress of each campaign. This can help you quickly identify which campaigns need additional attention and which are progressing as planned.

With Facebook Ads Integration, you can use monday.com to manage your campaigns and collect leads in one place. Easy to manage! Read on to learn how to set up this integration.

Before you set up the combination

We have three recipes for Facebook ad integration:

1. In each period , we synced each campaign from account to item . This is a merge import, meaning you import your active campaigns first and then the merge is done. This recipe is automatically added to your dashboard once you import the data from your Facebook Ads account. We’ll cover this recipe in the “ How to Import Campaigns ” section of this article.

2. In each period , we synced each ad group from account to item . This recipe allows grouping of ads together within an item on your board.

3. When a lead form is submitted, create an item . We’ll cover this recipe in the ” How to Collect Leads ” section of this article.

How to import campaigns

Step 1

To add the integration, click on your profile picture and select “Import Data”:

This will take you to our import page. Once you’re on the page, you’ll see all the apps you can import from, then go ahead and select “Facebook Ads”:

Step 2

Once you click Import Facebook Ads, you will be asked to connect your monday.com account with your Facebook account:

Step 3

Once you’ve connected the two accounts, you’ll be taken to the import page and asked to select the campaigns you want to import.

Step 4

Select the ad account(s) you want to import and a dashboard will be created with all the active campaigns you’ve created in the last 24 months!

Please note: Once a connection is made between your Facebook account and monday.com, it will remain in effect as long as the connection is in use. If the connection is not used within 90 days of establishing the connection, it will be canceled and become inactive. You will then need to remove monday.com from your Facebook account and create a new connection.

Step 5

Okay, the next step is SUPER EXCITING, so get ready! Once the import is complete the integration will be created automatically

Note that the default synchronization period is ‘Every day’, so if you want to edit this and choose a different period, click the combination button.

Once you’re on the page, you’ll see all the amazing combinations we offer. Select ‘Board Combinations’:

This will take you to a list of the active combinations you have on your board. Once there, select the three-dot menu to the right of the recipe you want to edit. Select ‘Edit Combination’:

Frame_438.png Then, you can edit the first field ( Every period ). Choose how often you want to sync your Facebook ads to your monday.com calendar. You have the option of daily, weekly, or monthly and the specific time.

When you choose which data to map to each column, the join column will be automatically added to maintain the relationship between the parameters in both apps:

Supported mapping fields

Currently, the following fields are supported when mapping the recipe for import up:

3-second video views, add payment details, add to cart, add to score list, app engagement, app installs, app usage, app story, bid strategy, blocked calls, budget remaining, purchase type, CPC, CPM, CPP, CTR, check-ins, clicks, registration completed, credit spend, advertiser-defined custom events, event responses, frequency, games, ID, impressions, checkout initiatives, landing page views, leads, leads (form), link clicks, CTR clicks, message conversation starts, app achievements, app adds to cart, app checkouts, app content views, app credit spend, app feature unlocks, app installs, app payment details, app purchases, app ratings, app registrations, app searches, app launches, tutorial completions In the app, name, new message conversations, off-site conversions, off-site engagement, Facebook purchases, Facebook action completions, website conversions, additional mobile actions, outbound clicks, outbound clicks CTR, page engagement, page likes, page photo views, page story, post comments, post engagement, post comments, post saves, post shares, post story, purchases, reach, searches, spend, start date and end date, status, unique CTR, unique clicks, unique link clicks, unique outbound clicks, and content views.

How to collect leads

The third recipe for Facebook Ads integration makes it easy for you to manage every lead collected from a form created with Facebook Ads.

Step 1

To get started, set up a board with the fields you want to collect from your form. If you’re collecting leads from multiple sources on this board, consider adding a ‘Source’ column to indicate which Facebook lead they came from. More on the ‘Source’ column in Step 5 .

At the same time, create the lead generation campaign with a form that fits your board.

Step 2

Once your board is ready, navigate to the Integration icon at the top of your board to set up the integration. To collect leads, you can use the following recipe: When a form is submitted, create an item .

Once you’ve selected your recipe, log in to your Facebook ads account:

Step 3

On the next screen, log in to Facebook or choose to continue with the account you’re currently logged in to. Then select the pages you want to use and click Next:

Step 4

On the next screen you will see a set of permissions. It is important to remember that the integration may not work properly if you disrupt any of the options.

Select Done to proceed to the confirmation screen. If you change your mind about any of these permissions after you leave this screen, you can update these options in your business integrations settings.

Now it’s time to create the Facebook form you’ll use to collect leads. Once you’ve created the form, you’re ready to set up the rest of the integration.

Step 5

When you return to setting up the integration on monday.com, you will see the following:

From here you can select the Facebook form you want to bring into your dashboard. Then, when you select the ‘Item’ option, you’ll have the opportunity to map the information from your form to your monday.com dashboard. For example, this means you can choose which column on your dashboard will contain information from the email field in your form.

Remember the ‘Source’ column we suggested in Step 1 ? Here you can write the word ‘Facebook’ in the ‘Source’ field so that every link generated by this combination recipe will list ‘Facebook’ as the source:

Now, every time someone fills out the Facebook form, a link will be created on your board! ⚡️
