How does it work?
Continuously monitoring your website is hard work. Using the project dashboard is an easy way to change up your routine.
A project dashboard can be created in seconds—all you have to do is create a project. You can find the project dashboard at the top of the left-hand navigation menu. Select one of your active projects from the list or create a new one.

Note that using the project dashboard requires that you have at least one project in your list. You can switch between projects using the drop-down list at the top of the page.
When you select a project, you’ll see all the data available for it on the dashboard page. This includes data from basic metrics like bounce rate and backlinks to on-page SEO recommendations. The site’s key metrics and trends will be found on this one page.
The data in each widget comes from a tool or report in the Semrush SEO toolkit. If you want more details, click the ‘View Full Report’ button at the bottom of the tab. You will then be taken to the appropriate tool or report.
Keep in mind that the data in each tab of the project dashboard is updated at different rates. This depends on how often the data is updated in the original tool.
Project widgets
Campaigns created in Position Tracking, Site Audit, On Page SEO Checker, Backlink Audit, Organic Traffic Insights, Link Building Tool, Social Poster, and Social Tracker are also displayed in the project dashboard.
The widgets display key metrics from each tool, helping you monitor changes in your project.

By clicking the ‘View Full Report’ button or the blue numbers, you will be taken to the appropriate tool:

You can create a campaign directly from the project dashboard by clicking the ‘Set Up’ button in the appropriate widget.

Traffic data
Traffic Analytics evaluates competitors’ domain traffic and visitor behavior. This data is useful for comparison, identifying strengths and weaknesses in competitors, and improving your marketing strategies.

Traffic Analytics collects information on tens of millions of visits every day, but it still doesn’t cover the entire internet. If you’re a smaller site, there’s a chance that the data won’t be enough to show accurate statistics.
Google Analytics
For your convenience, we’ve added the ability to switch between Traffic Analytics reports and Google Analytics reports. If you’re interested in collecting the most accurate and up-to-date data, you can connect your Google Analytics account to your project dashboard.
To connect your Google Analytics account, navigate to the chalk icon on the top right of the dashboard. There, you can select which Google account you want to connect (works with GA4 properties).

Additionally, you can also track additional data, including graphs for:
- Google Analytics metrics (users, sessions, engagement rate, etc.)
- Highest page views
See below how the metrics graphs (1) give you a visual representation of your GA metrics. The Top Pageviews widget (2) shows the pages that drive the highest percentage of views.

If you have set up a custom channel group in GA, we will graph it in your Google Analytics report.

Google Search Console
The project dashboard also allows integration with your Google Search Console account. This will give you additional data about a search query. This includes overall clicks, overall impressions, average CTR, and average position.
Once connected to GSC, the dashboard will generate an interactive graph that allows you to view each of the data sets mentioned above.

Organic Research
The Organic Research widget displays organic traffic for the last month and the trend of changes in keyword positions with keywords that improved or decreased traffic to the studied domain.

By clicking the “View full report” button, you will be taken to the position changes report in the Organic Research tool.
Backlink Analytics
The Backlink Analytics widget shows the trend of domains linking to the domain under study and the distribution of referring domains by Authority Score for the current date.
