This specialization offers tools and resources developed as part of the Inter-American Development Bank’s (IDB) “Step Up” initiative to address climate change and improve the sustainability of the planet. Throughout the three courses that make up the specialization, you will learn what we can do individually, as a school, and as a community to live more sustainable and healthy lives.
In addition, you will delve into ethical and social issues related to climate change, how to use games to support and enhance learning, and the main consequences of climate change on water, energy, landscapes, land, and our health.
This program is intended for teachers in primary and secondary schools in Latin American and Caribbean countries who teach science and topics related to climate change and the environment.
This program is designed to promote climate change mitigation and adaptation initiatives within schools. To achieve this goal, participants are required to formulate at least one specific action:
