In this 5-course certificate program, you’ll prepare for an entry-level job in IT support using innovative content developed by Google. 80% of students who earn the Google IT Support Certificate in the United States report career advancement within 6 months, such as finding a new job, getting a promotion, or starting a new business. The program is part of the “Grow with Google” initiative, which aims to help create economic opportunity for everyone.
Upon completion of the program, eligible students in the United States can share their information directly with Google, as well as with employers such as Hulu, Infosys, Intel, Walmart, and many more.
This program also prepares you for the CompTIA A+ exam, which is the industry standard certification for information technology—you’ll receive a dual certification upon completion of both. Through a combination of video lectures, exams, and hands-on lab training, you’ll learn skills like troubleshooting, customer service, network administration, operating systems, system administration, and security—basic information technology skills required for entry-level roles. You’ll also get input from Googlers who started their careers in information technology support. You can complete the program in 3 to 6 months, by dedicating about 5 hours per week.
This program is ACE® accredited – upon completion, you can receive up to 12 university credits, equivalent to 4 degree-level courses.

In this professional certificate program, you will have access to a variety of practical assessments that will help you simulate real-world situations in the support of information technology, important for success in the job market.
Examples of assessments include: computer assembly, network simulations, writing effective support documents, routing and subnetting, wireless networks, software management, public or asymmetric encryption, troubleshooting, and more.

This course is the first in a series of courses designed to prepare you for the role of an entry-level technical support specialist. During the course, we will delve into the world of Information Technology (IT) and learn about the various aspects of the field. You will learn about computers, the Internet, software, troubleshooting, and customer service.
Course 2 • 33 hours
This course is designed to give you a complete overview of computer networks. We’ll cover everything from the very basics of modern technologies and networks to an overview of cloud technologies.
Course 3 • 35 hours
In this course, you will become familiar with the key components of the operating system and learn to perform critical tasks such as managing software, users, and equipment settings.
Course 4 • 28 hours
This course will take you from managing a single computer to managing entire fleets of computers. Systems management is the field of information technology responsible for maintaining the continuity of computer systems.
Course 5 • 29 hours
This course covers a wide range of concepts, tools, and best practices in the field of information technology security.
