Cybersecurity focuses on protecting data from cyber threats, such as fraud and identity theft, and preventing unauthorized access to computer systems and networks. Cybersecurity analysts use a variety of methods, technologies, and processes to protect a company or organization and the people who buy their products or use their services.
Additionally, in the event of an unusual event, they are required to investigate and report their findings.
Upon completion of the certificate, designed by cybernetics experts from Google, you will be able to acquire the skills and tools required for entry-level work in the field of cybernetics. You can complete the program in approximately 6 months, with a dedication of less than 10 hours per week.
With your training, you can apply for positions as an information security or cyber analyst, security operations center (SOC) analyst, and more.
Applied Learning Project
The program includes 180 hours of instruction and hands-on assessments that simulate real-world cybernetics situations. Through a combination of videos, assessments, and hands-on exercises, you will learn the tools, platforms, and skills required for entry-level work.
Among the skills you will gain are: network security, information security, problem solving, critical thinking, threat analysis, and vulnerability assessment.
You will learn to use, among others, the following platforms and tools: Bash, Chronicle, Linux, Python, Splunk, Suricata, SQL, tcpdump, VirusTotal, and WireShark.
Additionally, each course in the program includes practical activities, the results of which you can share during future job interviews, to demonstrate skills that are highly sought after in the market.
