Where have you experienced biology today? All in light of the science that surrounds us every day. This specialization is designed to bridge the gap between traditional biology classes and the practical biological knowledge required in the real world. Each module examines a different biological concept and relates it to real-world problems or experiences with the aim of showing why life science is important to your everyday experiences.

Learners may find it interesting to read the book “Biology Everywhere: How Life Science Matters for Everyday Life” by Dr. Melanie Pepper while completing the course.
Learners will complete assessments that will enable them to apply the Biology Everywhere perspective to their daily lives. For educators interested in teaching using a Biology Everywhere approach, there is an optional honors track focused on how to apply the principles of Biology Everywhere in their classroom.
Upon completion of the Honors Track, you will meet the requirements for graduate credit from the University of Colorado Boulder.
