This internship is for students, working professionals, entrepreneurs, and entrepreneurs who are interested in learning more about strategies and tools for running an effective social business. Professionals and thinkers from Yunus Social Business Foundation Bangalore (YSBFB) bring with them many years of experience working with a variety of social businesses. YSBFB has partnered with Professor Gautam Kaul to cover finance courses in this internship.
In the first course, learners will create a social business model using a variety of tools. They will also be given the opportunity to give and receive feedback from their peers to create an effective business plan.
This course is primarily designed for learners who are interested in understanding and running a social business. The ideal learner could be a student, social entrepreneur, intrapreneur or corporate professional interested in social business. In Module 1 of the course, students will learn how various leaders in social business – such as Professor Muhammad Yunus, Rajni Bakshi, Corinne Bezina, Lamia Murshad, Suresh Krishna and Daniel Nowak – are reimagining the concept of capitalism. The subsequent modules of the course condense the various learnings of practitioners and theorists at YSB into a set of tools and readings, which can be used as building blocks for a social business.
What makes this course unique is the combination of inspiration and seriousness, which is very important in any type of social business education.
Learners also have the option to use this course to advance their careers, apply for higher education and positions in the social impact/impact investing industry. Subscribing to this course automatically allows the learner to be part of the global social business community.
