This is the perfect introduction for anyone interested in a career in mental health. Over three courses, students will learn the history and development of mental health disorders and how mental health changes throughout an individual’s life.
This specialization is not intended to prepare students for the National Diploma. Enrollees will receive basic and relevant knowledge of the profession. However, to gain industry certification, a more comprehensive program must be completed through enrollment in approved/qualified schools such as MedCerts.
Learners will apply their knowledge of developmental difficulties, challenges, and disorders at different life stages to analyze three subcases related to clients at different life stages and answer questions related to these cases.
Learners will peer review each other’s work, allowing them to compare their responses to the case analyses with the responses of their peers to the case analyses.
