Internship – Series of 4 courses

Learn how to engage your students and improve math and science learning with free virtual labs and simulations from the University of Colorado Boulder’s Interactive Simulations Project.

In this specialization, you will discover active learning strategies that can be incorporated into your classroom, both online and in person. You will also learn how to evaluate the effectiveness of a learning experience by implementing a simulation-based lesson in your classroom.

The PhET Interactive Simulations Project

Founded in 2002 by Nobel Prize winner in physics, Carl Wyman, it creates free science and math simulations based on extensive educational research.

Internship details

The specialization includes four courses:

  • Introduction to PhET Simulations for STEM Education
  • A whole class with PhET for STEM education
  • Planning Activities with PhET Simulations for STEM Education
  • Applying PhET Activities to STEM Education

The duration of the internship is approximately 8 weeks (2 weeks per course) and around 60 hours of work.
