Airdrop Arena - Free Crypto.com & Crypto

What is Airdrop Arena?

Airdrop Arena on the Crypto.com app allows users to earn rewards by assigning a CRO from their crypto wallet to Airdrop Arena. Users earn points based on the CRO balance assigned to Airdrop Arena. These points are then used to determine their rewards in monthly events. The more points you earn, the higher your ranking in the leaderboard. Higher ratings enjoy greater rewards.

Who is eligible for Airdrop Arena?

This feature is available to all approved users of the Crypto.com app, except for Hong Kong SAR citizens and residents.

How do I earn points in Airdrop Arena?

Earn points when assigning a CRO to Airdrop Arena; Each allocated 100 CRO gives you one point. Points are also earned daily in Airdrop Arena events based on the assigned CRO balance and Point Boosters status at the calculation point. Note that the dots are rounded to the nearest integer. After the first Airdrop Arena event you attended, only the points earned from the CRO allocation remain. Points earned during the event will not carry over to the next event.

How does the leaderboard in Airdrop Arena work?

The leaderboard ranks users based on their total points. It’s updated in real-time, so you can see your current location and how many points you need to level up next. Higher ranks = higher remuneration rates. The highest-rated Airdrop Arena participants receive a points multiplier:

  • Top 200 (Tier 1) – 10x the total points
  • Next 5,000 (Tier 2) – 8x the total points
  • Next 20,000 (Tier 3) – 6x the total points
  • Next 25,000 (Tier 4) – 4x the total points
  • Next 30,000 (Tier 5) – 2x the total points

This multiplier is applied after you have summed up the points you have earned and determined your ranking in the leaderboard. It is used to calculate your estimated reward rate and final reward, but does not appear in your points history.

When will I receive my Airdrop Arena reward?

You’ll receive your Airdrop Arena reward in your crypto wallet within seven working days after each event. If you choose to activate the Loot Locker Point Booster, your rewards will be distributed to the crypto wallet after the lock-in period ends. The amount of tokens you will receive in your wallet is based on the token price of the reward at the time of distribution. To learn more about Loot Locker and other Point Boosters, see the “Can I boost my points?” section of the FAQ.

What happens to my CRO after I assign it to Airdrop Arena?

Any allocated amount of CRO will be locked up for six months. You will receive a one-time points set for the assignment and also daily during the ongoing Airdrop Arena events based on your shooting balance.

What are Airdrop Arena events?

These are limited-time events that typically take place on a monthly basis and last for a month each. During each event period, users can earn points daily. Then, at the end of each event, rewards are awarded based on the total points earned.

What is the total value of rewards that can be earned by participating in Airdrop Arena events?

Rewards for each event are based on the total points you earn relative to the points earned by the other participants. The higher your points score, the greater your rewards. For example: The total value of rewards to be distributed for Event A is $10,000. The total points earned by all users of this event is 10,000. The amount of reward per point for Event A is calculated by: $10,000 ÷ 10,000 = $1. If you have 500 points at the end of Event A, your reward amount is: $1 × 500 = $500.

Can I attend multiple Airdrop Arena events at the same time?

No, only one Airdrop Arena event takes place at any given point in time. However, users automatically register for the following Airdrop Arena events after their first assignment to Airdrop Arena.

Can I increase my points?

Users can choose to activate Point Boosters and increase their potential for earning points. Airdrop Arena currently offers four Point Boosters:

  • Loot Locker: Activate by agreeing to lock in the rewards you earn at a particular event. The appropriate compensation amount will be locked up for six months. Enjoy a 200% daily event points boost. Once you enable Loot Locker for an event, you cannot disable the option until the event is over.
  • Swift Starter: Be among the first 10,000 users to assign per event. Your daily points for the next event will be increased to 120%. To check if this Point Booster is still available, browse to Airdrop Arena and you’ll see a Swift Starter message. If it’s still available, the Transfer button will appear. Otherwise, you’ll see a ‘Not applicable’ message.
  • Rewards+ Voyager: Earn at least level 5 in Rewards+ and enjoy a daily event points boost of up to 160%. The availability of this Rewards+ and Point Booster program varies depending on the jurisprudence.
  • Task Master:
Purchase at least 1,500 CRO (via fiat or cryptocurrencies in the Crypto.com app) and then transfer at least 1,500 CRO to the Airdrop Arena to enjoy a daily points boost of up to 120%. Only purchases made after the event has started will count against the purchase requirement.

Tip: Make sure you complete the purchase task before assigning your CRO.

How is my Airdrop Arena reward rate calculated?

Your estimated reward rate is updated at least once an hour and is finally updated at the end of each event. Each participant sees their total points calculated using:

  • Total CRO balance assigned to Airdrop Arena (100 CRO = 1 point)
  • Points received 2 days (including Point Boosters)

Depending on your total points, you are ranked in the leaderboard and your ranking is included in a certain rank. The top-ranked competitors receive a points multiplier based on their rank. The highest levels include:

  • Top 200 (Tier 1) – 10x the total points
  • Next 5,000 (Tier 2) – 8x the total points
  • Next 20,000 (Tier 3) – 6x the total points
  • Next 25,000 (Tier 4) – 4x the total points
  • Next 30,000 (Tier 5) – 2x the total points

The rewards for each event are based on the total points you earn in relation to the points earned by the other participants after applying the points multiplier mentioned earlier. This multiplier is applied to the calculation, but does not appear in your points history. The value of your compensation rate is calculated based on your CRO allocation (in $) and your expected compensation (in $).

How do I check my current score and leaderboard ranking?

You can check your current points and leaderboard ranking by navigating to the Airdrop Arena landing page. One simple way to do this is to open the Crypto.com app, click on the three lines at the top left of the home screen, and click on ‘Airdrop Arena’ to view the points and details of the leaderboard.

Why is my reward rate different from that of another user who has the same points as me?

Your compensation rate is based on your CRO allocation and your expected compensation. Two users may have the same total points and therefore have the same expected reward value but different CRO assignments. This can happen if one user allocates less CRO but has more Point Boosters, while the other allocates more CRO but has fewer or even no Point Boosters. Although the total points and the calculated reward amount for these two users are the same, the denominator of the reward rate is smaller for the user who assigned less CRO. Dogma:

  • A allocated 1,200 CRO, earning 12 Deposit Points (100 CRO = 1 Point) and 12 Event Points without any Boosters
  • B allocated 800 CRO, earning 8 deposit points (100 CRO = 1 point) and 16 event points with a 200%Loot Locker Point Booster
  • Both A and B have a total of 24 points each, but B has allocated less CRO than A and therefore has a different reward rate.

Why was my estimated compensation rate updated?

Your estimated compensation rate is based on your CRO allocation and your expected compensation. It is updated at least once an hour and is finally updated at the end of each event. The expected rewards for each event are based on the total points you earn relative to the points earned by the other attendees. Dogma:

  • On the first day of Event A, there are two participants:
    • Participant A has a total of 5,000 points
    • Participant B has a total of 5,000 points

The total value of the rewards to be distributed for Event A is $10,000. The total points earned by all participants is 10,000. The amount of reward per point for Event A is calculated by: $10,000 ÷ 10,000 = $1. The expected reward of Participant A is: $1 × 5,000 = $5,000. The expected reward for Participant B is: $1 × 5,000 = $5,000. The total value of the rewards to be distributed for Event A is $10,000.

  • On the second day of Event A, a new participant joins:
    • Participant A has a total of 6,000 points
    • Participant B has a total of 7,000 points
    • Participant C has a total of 1,000 points

The total points accumulated by all participants is 14,000. The amount of reward per point for Event A is calculated by: $10,000 ÷ 14,000 = $0.714285714 Participant A’s expected reward is: ~$0.71 × 6,000 = $4,286. The expected reward of Participant B is: ~$0.71 × 7,000 = $5,000. The expected reward of Participant C is: ~$0.71 × 1,000 = $714. Participant A’s expected reward changed from $5,000 to $4,286 when Participant C joined. Therefore, the compensation rate of Participant A will be updated.

Why did my reward rate drop after a new assignment?

After you make a new assignment, it’s common to see a temporary decrease in your estimated compensation rate. This rate is calculated by dividing the expected compensation (in $) by the allocation in CRO (in $) and the estimate over a fixed period of 30 days. The decline occurs because it takes time for rewards to be generated on new funds even though the allocation of CRO increases instantly. As additional reference headings continue to generate rewards daily, the estimated reward rate will gradually adjust to better reflect the rewards on the overall balance over time.

Are there any limits to the number of points I can earn?

Once you withdraw your CRO from Airdrop Arena, the CRO should be instantly available in your crypto wallet. Points will be deducted based on the withdrawal amount, with 1 point deducted for every 100 CROs drawn. The points are rounded down to the nearest whole number, and there is a minimum deduction of 1 point. Additionally, please note that your leaderboard upgrade may be affected and the rewards you receive at the next event will be affected.
