Onchain - Multi-Chain Token Transfers on Crypto.com

Why can’t I trade CRO even though I have a CRO balance?

First, make sure that the problem is not caused by external factors such as your network connection. Next, it is important to know that Crypto.com Onchain supports three types of CRO assets on different networks, each of which needs unique tokens as payment of network fees:

  • CRO transactions on the Cronos POS Chain network require integral CRO tokens as network fees.
  • CRO transactions on the Ethereum blockchain (ERC20 CRO) require ETH as network fees.
  • CRO transactions on the Cronos network (CRC20 CRO) require CRC20 CRO as network fees.

To make a CRO transaction, check which network you’re making the transaction on and make sure you have a sufficient balance of the appropriate CRO asset to use as a network fee payment. For example, if you make a transaction on the Cronos network, you will need a CRC20 CRO balance to pay the network fees.

How do I know if my CRO balance is integral, ERC20 CRO, or CRC20 CRO?

  • Click on CRO on the home screen to go to the personal CRO page.
  • Click on the total CRO balance to check the balances of the three CRO tokens.
  • Select the CRO you want to transact on and return to the personal page. Now, you can view the balance of your chosen CRO token.
  • This process applies to all multi-network tokens.
