The Bungie and Bourne and Perez Companz foundations, as part of the “Sambror” program, designed this professional program in collaboration with the University of Austral.

Today, basic education is subject to many questions in society, especially due to the low performance of students. However, schools in rural areas work in difficult environments and have found successful alternatives that can be applied to the existing problems in the education system.

This specialization will allow you to understand basic education in rural contexts in Latin America, to know its current reality and to identify its potential within the educational system. In addition, we will address the remaining challenges that require policy definitions aimed at the rural idea.

The program is intended for education professionals in rural Latin American contexts and those interested in acquiring specific knowledge in this field. It is delivered in 4 MOOCs, each lasting 4 weeks, in a virtual format.

Applied Learning Project

General objective of the final works: How can we intervene from the macro-political, institutional, classroom and community aspects to promote the improvement of Latino schools located in rural contexts?
