If your messages are delayed, we are here to help you with this issue in this article.
Why are the notifications delayed?
The delay you are experiencing is a common problem among Android devices, and has also been reported for WhatsApp, Facebook, Gmail, and many others.
The reason this happens is simple: when you are in Low Power Mode, the device limits the number of notifications sent to you to save energy.
[fact_box] **Interesting fact:** Some users have found that using notification management apps like “Pushbullet” allows them to receive real-time notifications even when the device is in power saving mode. These apps can synchronize notifications between different devices and improve the user experience. [/fact_box]
What to do?
If you use other apps that help preserve your battery life (like Battery Doctor), check to see if they’re causing lag. Some manufacturers, like Asus, Sony, and Samsung, offer modes that reduce cellular data or Wi-Fi connections. So, when you put your device to sleep, you automatically disconnect from our servers and notifications.
Another thing you can do is manually stop your apps from running in the background.
To control how often you receive your notifications, you can install the Push Notifications Fixer App available on Google Play. There you can change how often you are shown notifications.
