Internship – 3-part course series

This specialization begins with an examination of the physical geography of the Arctic and its key climatic features, including:

  • Atmospheric ice cover
  • Greenland Ice Sheet
  • Temperature patterns
  • Precipitation
  • Snow cover and permanent ground

We will then learn about the incredible changes occurring and affecting the Arctic environment, how they are interconnected and their effects on terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.

In the next lesson, we will focus on the economic, strategic, and geopolitical importance of the Arctic in the context of the environmental changes observed in the region.
