Internship – Series of 3 courses

Faithful discipline requires more than just good Sunday service. In this course series, designed for pastors, ministry teams, and church volunteers, you will learn how to faithfully and professionally lead your church with the Church Administration specialization offered by Duke Divinity+.

Course structure

  • Course 1: Theology of Church Management and Time Management – An approach to church management from a theological perspective and optimizing time management.
  • Course 2: Strategic Management for Churches – Discerning and Determining Church Vision, Core Values, Goals and Objectives.
  • Course 3: Human Resource Management in Churches – An approach to human resource management from a theological perspective.

Hands-on Learning Project

In both core courses, you can download a workbook that allows you to reflect on and develop your leadership skills from a theological perspective. This workbook can be used to guide a group discussion among your leadership or as a personal guide to enrich the course.

In the elective course Human Resource Management in Churches, you will analyze and respond to case studies to develop human resource management skills.
