Internship – a three-part course series

If you are planning to move into a management role, are interested in thinking deeply about identity, or are exploring the role of creativity in your life, this internship is for you! Stories are powerful catalysts for social change, which can contribute to equality and tolerance across a range of different identity experiences. Stories can limit or define us, but they can also be reframed, questioned, touched upon, and used to reconsider or expand possibilities for your life and your communities.

You will have the opportunity to shape the narratives of your personal experiences in ways that help you better understand your public and private identities. Courses in this training include diverse media that share stories about concepts such as:

  • nation
  • race
  • Gender
  • sexuality
  • Social status
  • time

You will practice giving and receiving constructive feedback as we explore creation through audio, video, social media, and more traditional forms of writing.

The Practical Learning Project

The final course projects are peer-reviewed assignments where you will practice developing and improving stories from your personal experiences for creative expression and management processes. You will be able to request, receive, and give feedback on your own work and that of your peers, a key skill in collaborative work environments.
