  • The classical aspects that characterize it are examined.
  • Content is presented that allows for a critical approach and preparation for the unique components of the 21st century.
  • The student will receive tools to define, describe, and analyze an organization in the current historical context.
Managing People in 21st Century Organizations: Challenges and Opportunities from Human Resource Management
  • Analysis and reflection on the role of human resources professionals in organizations today.
  • The processes required to identify an organization’s needs are studied.
  • Employee recruitment and development processes.
  • A conversation is based on the methodologies designed for assessing and developing skills.
  • Focuses on key human resources skills such as respect for opinions, different people and situations, and independent work.
  • Based on the goals of Agenda 2030, the need to manage human resources in a communal and sustainable manner is examined.

It is an introduction to the conceptual and operational world of organizational psychology. How does an organization work from the inside? What psychological and social elements operate in a company’s work routine? What important signals do we need to recognize in order to manage and lead a team of people? These questions will be at the center of the course, and we will answer them with two central concepts that we will study in depth: organizational dynamics and organizational culture.

Thanks to these two (and the connection between them). By understanding the importance of organizational structure or sustainable development goals, the true meaning of leadership, and how to explore something intangible but essential in organizations (culture), you will be able to get to know the theoretical and practical elements to understand the importance of social aspects in organizations, and in particular, for management, intervention and improvement.

Key group processes in organizations

What is a group? What processes occur when you are part of a group? In this course we will try to answer these questions and more regarding the concept of a work group. The group processes we will go through are:

  • The concept of group from a psychosocial perspective
  • The concept of social guidance and its relationship to group performance
  • The concept of leadership as a social role

In the final part of the course, we will analyze the decision-making process, which is considered one of the most complex processes experienced by a social group.

In this course, we will analyze and explain the main tools and techniques available in the field of human resources, which can be useful in the search and evaluation of future professionals.
