Patient-centered attention is designed to involve all members of the healthcare team in finding alternatives in order to identify, understand, collaborate, and build the best options for treating the patient’s health according to their uniqueness, meaning structure, and context.
Quality in clinical care is required to reduce and prevent errors during patient care. There are various mechanisms for proper planning of intervention and treatment processes, which allow opportunities for improvement and innovation in clinical contexts at different levels of care.
The patient must be the center of attention and heard about areas for improvement in the intervention processes. This highlights the importance of interprofessional care to expand the dialogue between members of the healthcare team and the patient in order to achieve shared goals.
The contexts of clinical care include different settings. When multiple factors participate, the process and outcome are enhanced and improved for the patient and those around them.
Research becomes a strategy for healing, through a methodological and managerial level and scientific evidence that produces new knowledge, which is implemented in academic medical centers.
