What does a music producer do?

Course 1: 8 hours

  • Determine and describe the roles, responsibilities, and duties of music producers.
  • Analyze music productions critically, while actively listening, focusing on composition and arrangement.
  • Use effects plugins to creatively enhance musical productions based on technical and aesthetic hearing.

Course 2: 6 hours

  • Plan and perform collaborative musical productions, incorporating strategies for composition, arrangement, and use of samples.
  • Use creative and technical techniques to produce high-quality vocal performances, including practice and processing in DAW.
  • Apply creative and technical skills to produce instrumental performances, collaborate with musicians, and re-record in a DAW.

Course 3: 7 hours

  • Recognize the significance of post-production in music creation, and use strategies to prepare and maximize productions effectively.
  • Use mixing techniques, EQ strategies, and balancing methods to create polished samples that are tailored to their productions.
  • Produce and evaluate mix samples, verify compatibility between different hearing aids, and implement strategies for selecting the final mix.
