It includes virtualization concepts such as logical partitioning, Linux installation, command line operations, and other interesting administrative tasks. This course includes hands-on exercises with systems from an IBM data center.
IBM PowerVC, a software that enables infrastructure as a service (IaaS), provides a customized console for managing IBM Power systems. It is built on OpenStack. OpenStack is a collection of open source projects that organizations can use to run private cloud infrastructures. This course explains most of the features of cloud management, starting with setting up a private cloud environment from the ground up. The course then covers planning, deployment, and other advanced management tasks that you can perform to become an effective system administrator.
