Over the course of three courses, you will cover the strategies and tools that entrepreneurs and startups use to develop business ideas and create innovations, which will prepare you to run a family business and allow you to identify and implement the qualities that will allow you to be a good business leader and expert in making decisions about your business.

Hands-on Learning Project

  • Students will pitch an initiative (new business, new product line, or new market) that did not exist in the family business or family business.
  • Students will diagnose a family business using the knowledge gained during the course, in order to propose an improvement.
  • Students will develop a value proposition through the validation process with customer interviews.
