Internship – Series of 3 courses

During this course series, we will introduce those interested in becoming a Looker developer to the world of Looker cloud and data. We will talk about how data can be managed in the cloud and how data can be used to create value for the organization.

During the course, we will understand the role of data in an organization’s digital transformation, learn how business analysts use Looker to analyze and predict data, and finally, learn the skills required to become a Looker developer, using Looker’s modeling language (LookML).

Hands-on Learning Project

  • Course 2: Hands-on labs using Looker to build skills in data analysis and data visualization.
    • Lab 1: Using dimensions, measures, filters, and pivots to query, select, and visualize data in Looker via Explore.
    • Lab 2: Using spreadsheet calculations and conversions to instantly create new metrics from data.
  • Course 3: Hands-on labs focused on building LookML skills.
    • Lab 1: Creating dimensions and measures in LookML and learning about the different data types supported by LookML.
    • Lab 2: Creating and saving derived tables in LookML to create new tables that do not exist in the underlying database.

  • Manage and organize content using folders and boards in Looker.

Developing Data Models with LookML – Hebrew Version

Course 3 • 5 hours

  • Create and design experiences so that business users can access data.
  • Create derived tables to instantly produce new tables.
  • Leverage caching and data sets in Looker to optimize SQL query performance.
