Tidio’s contact list allows you to browse and export the contacts created in chat, filter them, and customize the list based on various parameters. This feature is available in all plans, including the free and basic plans.
Customizing the list and adding filters
You can select all the parameters you want to see in the list on the Customize tab. In the example below, the Created on date parameter is set to appear in the list. You can select as many parameters as you need.

Filters allow you to narrow down your results so you can reach only the right customers. Let’s say you want to browse only for contacts whose email address includes “hotmail.com.”
To do this, click the Add Filter button, then select the Country Email parameter. Select the Contains option and type hotmail.com :

After you apply the filter, you will see a list of only the relationships that match the filter:

Of course, you can add additional filters to the current settings to further narrow down the results.
Note that there may be additional groups that appear in addition to the All Contacts group, such as a Subscribers group. These are additional lists that allow you to browse specific contacts, based on certain filters – such as a contact who has any type of email and is a subscriber:

You can create custom groups, which allows you to easily browse only specific connections. You can learn more about using groups effectively in this article.
Export connections
Select the connections you want to export, then select the Export button. You will see a window informing you that the list has been generated.

When this information appears, you’re ready to download the file. Click the link to download it.

Here it is – a CSV file with all your exported contacts and their parameters! You can upload it to a CRM, for example, Agile CRM, or create a mailing list, for example, in Mailchimp.

You can also upload the CSV file to an Excel file or Google Sheet to edit it further.
Contact parameters
Connection parameters are the information Tidio stores about each connection created. This information includes the following fields:
- First Name: The contact’s first name.
- Last name: The contact’s last name.
- Email: The contact’s email address.
- Phone number: The contact’s phone number.
- Creation Date: The date the connection was created.
- Subscription status: Whether the connection is subscribed or not.
Each such parameter can be used to better manage your relationships and perform various segmentations.
Sending contacts to Shopify
Data like phone number, first name, last name, email, and marketing authorization are automatically passed to Shopify’s contact list if they were collected via a pre-chat survey or during the flow and are saved as contact parameters.
You can also disable the option of sending data to Shopify by going to the connections section in Tidio and making sure the toggle next to “Send connections to Shopify” in the bottom left of the panel is off.
