How do video calls work?
When a visitor is logged in to the site, you – as the administrator – can start a video call with them. This can be done while you are in a call, from the Tidio.com control panel. Currently, only the administrator can start the call; visitors cannot start the call themselves.
To request a video call, simply click the Start Video Call button in the bottom right corner of your conversation window:

Once you start the conversation, a pop-up window will appear on your screen. You can move this window freely within the Tidio.com dashboard, but it cannot be dragged outside the dashboard page.

You have the option to make a regular video call or just a voice call – by turning off the camera . You can turn the microphone and camera on or off at any time during the call by clicking on the appropriate icons in the floating window:

When you start a call, the visitor will receive a pop-up message to accept or decline the call. If they decline the call, they will simply be redirected back to the existing call.

If they accept, they will be able to see and hear you (if your camera and microphone are turned on, of course).

Visitors can also choose to mute themselves or turn off their cameras if they prefer. In case they want to write a message during the conversation, they can click on the chat icon:
