Steps to transfer a domain to Shopify
- Make sure your domain is available for transfer and that your WHOIS settings are up to date.
- Access the domain management page at the current provider and unlock the domain (Unlock Domain).
- Receive the authorization code required for the transfer.
- Log in to your Shopify dashboard and select the domains category.
- Click “Transfer Domain” and follow the required instructions, including entering the authorization code.
- Once the transfer is complete, the Shopify domain will automatically connect to your store.
Once the transfer is complete, DNS renewals and adjustments will be managed directly through the Shopify platform.
