This guide explains the different options for setting up two-factor authentication (2FA).
Settings
Authentication method. Select the method you want to use. There are 2 options:
- Google Authenticator
- Yubikey
When using Google Authenticator, read the following information after selecting this option. For YubiKey, the authentication method used is a One-Time Password ( OTP ).
Security codes. Make sure to write down the security codes that will be generated next to the 2FA setting in a safe place. If you lose your device, you can always re-enable the authentication method without any problems. If you did not write down the codes for backup, you will need to send an email to all exchanges and the Cryptohopper platform with a request to remove 2FA from your account. Therefore, it is important to write down the codes. You can contact Cryptohopper via chat or by email: support@cryptohopper.com
Additional information
It is highly recommended to use 2FA on your Cryptohopper account. Not just on your Cryptohopper account but on all your accounts. It is an extra layer of security for your account.
