Tidio allows you to import your contact data from other CRM systems in CSV and TXT files. You can upload these documents in the Contacts category, which is located on the left side of your admin panel.
How to import your contacts into Tidio
Prepare the CSV or TXT files
To ensure a smooth import process, you should organize your data before uploading it to your Tudio dashboard. Each piece of information should be placed in a separate column in your file. We recommend adding a header row and associating each piece of information with its appropriate heading.
The data displayed in the Contacts category is as follows:
Upload the document
You can upload your documents in the Clients category on the left side of your Tudio dashboard. Then, go to the All Contacts section, and click the Import button above your current contact list:
Use the Import from File option (note that the Import from Shopify option is also available, as long as you’re logged into your Shopify store!):
A new window will appear asking you to upload your CSV or TXT file. You can do this by clicking the blue Click here button or simply dragging and dropping the document into the window.
Match your data with the properties displayed in the contact list
The import window will take you to the second step after uploading the file. You will need to match your data with the correct attributes from the contact category. You will see the header row names on the left, your data in the center, and the contact attribute (to which the data will be assigned) on the right.
To match your data with the attributes – click the drop-down menu under the ‘Contact Attribute’ column and select the appropriate attribute from the list.
After all the data has received its characteristics – click the blue Confirm Matching button below the columns.
Complete your import.
When the import process is complete, you can decide what to do with your existing contacts. An existing contact is one that already has an email address specified.
You will have two options to choose from:
Finally, you will be asked to confirm that all imported contacts have given you consent to email them.
All DONE! Now you can see all the contacts you imported in the contact list.
