In Tidio, you can automatically forward emails from other email providers directly to the Tidio panel. With this Helpdesk feature, you can receive all your incoming emails in Tidio, as tickets – and manage them via the Tickets folder.

How to add a mailbox to Tidio
You can add your external mailbox (or multiple mailboxes) by going to the Settings category.> Helpdesk in your Tidio admin panel:

…and click the blue Connect your mailbox button:

In the pop-up window, you will see two options to choose from: Connect an existing email address , or create a new address (using a Tidio domain).

Connecting with existing mail
Use this option when you want to forward emails from your existing email address. You can type your email address in the field below.

Click Next to reach the second step, where you will see detailed instructions for connecting your existing mailbox. You can choose from different sets of instructions , depending on what you need:

Selecting one of the options in the list will provide you with step-by-step instructions for connecting your mailbox. If you don’t use Gmail, Google Apps, Outlook, or Office 365 – select the Other mailbox provider option. This will simply provide you with your Tidio forwarding address right away:

As with Gmail or Outlook, you will need to use this unique forwarding address in your mailbox settings. Once you have done this correctly, all your incoming emails will start appearing in the Tidio Tickets folder.
Create a new email address
Use this option only when you don’t have an existing email address or when you want to create a new email address with Tidio, especially for forwarding purposes only. This email address will use the domain @tidio.xyz . You can only type the alias.

When you click Next , you will see the new address you created listed in the Helpdesk category, and approved for use immediately:

[note_box] Tip: If you’re using a new email address with the @tidio.xyz domain, you can set it to be used only for important or urgent emails. This will help you separate routine emails from emails that require immediate attention. [/note_box>
Cancel email forwarding
Go to Settings> Helpdesk in the Tidio panel to cancel email forwarding. On the right side of the mailbox you want to disconnect – click the Delete button:

Confirm your choice, and your mailbox will be removed from the panel. Please note: this does not cancel the transfer itself!
To completely disable forwarding, you need to remove the unique Tidio forwarding address from your external mailbox settings (e.g. Gmail, Outlook, or others). The steps for this are slightly different for each provider.
Gmail
Log in to your mailbox, click the Gear icon in the control panel, and select Settings .
Select the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab and select the Disable forwarding option, which will affect the email address you added earlier.
Outlook.com and Office 365:
Select the Gear icon in the upper-right corner of the mailbox and select Options .
From the options page, open the Forwarding tab in the Account section.
Select the Stop forwarding option and click Save .
Other mail providers
Find your forwarding settings and remove the unique email address @tidioreply.com from the setting.
