How to fix issues with the Crypto Hopper market trading bot

This guide shows what to check when there are problems with the Market-Making bot.

The subscribers

The first thing to check is your subscription. Do you have a Hero subscription? If not, you can purchase one here . If you do have a subscription, make sure it’s connected to the correct bot. For more information on how to assign a subscription, click here.

Activate your bot

Check if your bot is active. You can find this in your control panel.

Enable Market Making

The first switch

Shows whether your bot is active or not. When your bot is inactive, no information will be received from or sent to the exchange. This means that your bot is not working, because there is no information that can be retrieved from your exchange.

The second switch

Shows whether buying and selling coins is active or not. If it is active, your bot automatically buys and transfers coins based on your Baseconfig. If it is inactive, no trades will be opened.

API keys

Error API Keys

Check your API keys. The next thing you can check is your API keys. We have documentation on how to connect your bot to your exchange. It is recommended to follow the guide for your exchange. Each exchange has a different setup, so it is important to check the correct guide.

If you don’t see any errors about your API keys in the output, your bot is connected to your exchange. If you see any error messages, check what you did wrong.

Funds

Funds Market Making

Check your funds. Your bot’s funds can be seen in your dashboard. Make sure you have both currencies of your trading pair. If not, the bot will not start trading. Even though your order order may recommend otherwise.

Baseconfig

Baseconfig Market Making

Make sure you have set your Baseconfig . Don’t forget the “Higher bid percentage” and “Lower demand percentage”. If you don’t set this, the bot won’t know where to place your orders.

Output

Output Market Making

Check the Output . The bot will act according to your configuration. The output shows you everything your bot does or does not do.

Errors

The output can display several error messages. These messages explain why the bot is working or not working.

There are not enough funds.

Multiple order tiers can be set and there are items in the queue. The bot may need funds for up to 5 buy or sell orders. If you have set the bot to use 30% of your available funds, you will see this error quickly. The same error occurs when more buy orders are fulfilled than sell orders or vice versa. Check your available funds to make sure that trading can continue.

You have reached the maximum number of 500 locations in the queue.

Trading will continue, but no additional positions will be added to your queue. After reaching 500 positions in the queue, you will see a message in your control panel saying that there is a problem with your Baseconfig. You can lower the number of positions in the queue by disabling “Override Queue” or selecting “Do Nothing” in “Repeat Canceled Orders”.

Error messages in output Unable to pull order book from exchange

Cancellation based on order book depth is not working. Solution: This is usually a temporary error, if you continue to receive this message, contact support.

Select a time period in the output from which you want to get more information. The maximum number of records is 500. Select a shorter time period if you can’t find what you’re looking for.
