How to edit DNS settings in Shopify
Editing DNS settings on Shopify domains
DNS (Domain Name System) is an important component of managing your domain in Shopify. DNS settings can be used to redirect your website visitors to a different website or IP address.
You have accessed DNS settings in Shopify.
- Log in to your Shopify domains dashboard.
- Click on the domain you want to edit.
- Navigated to the ‘DNS Settings’ section.
Editing DNS records
When you reach the ‘DNS Settings’ section, you can make the following changes:
- Edit A records to change the IP address of the host server.
- Modify CNAME records to point to subdomains.
Saving changes
Once you’ve made the necessary changes, don’t forget to save them. Note that DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to fully update.
