In Tidio’s dashboard, you have the flexibility to control the visibility of the chat widget depending on your availability or specific requirements. You can hide the Tidio chat widget when you are not logged into your dashboard, or hide it completely depending on your situation.

Hide the widget when you are not logged in

To access your visibility options, navigate to the Settings section.> Live chat> Appearance :

In this section, find the widget’s visibility settings, where you can change your setting according to your preferences.

You can decide whether you want to display the widget when you are not logged in, on which devices you want to display the widget, and on which pages the widget should be hidden. Of course, you can also disable the widget completely.

Disable the option called Show chat when offline if you want Tidio to disappear whenever all your impersonators are offline:

When you click the link, a new window will open where you can select the pages on which the widget will no longer be displayed. You can list different URLs for desktop and mobile devices separately:

If you want to disable the chat widget on pages whose URL contains a specific paragraph (or word) – the URL contains option is for you. It allows you to hide the chat widget on more than one page at a time, as long as the page URL contains what you specify.

Select the Containing URL option, then enter the keyword or paragraph into the URL field, and click Add :

example

Let’s say we want to hide the Tidio widget from all Help Center articles in the ‘Chatbots’ category. In this case, I’ll enter the link www.help.tidio.com/chatbots in the Page field, mark it as a containing URL, and click the Add button. Now, the widget will appear in all other Help Center articles but not in articles in the ‘Chatbots’ category.

Once you have added some pages on which you will hide Tidio, you will see the number of these pages in the widget’s visibility settings. This will give you a quick way to know that the Hide on specific pages option is in use:
