How to connect to Poloniex on Crypto Hopper
To enable your Cryptohopper bot to communicate with Poloniex , you need to create an API Key. This key acts as a link between Cryptohopper and the exchange, allowing the bot to perform actions such as placing automated orders and accessing your balance for calculations. Essentially, the API Key acts as a way for the bot to communicate with the exchange and perform the actions required for automated trading.
You may encounter an error during the Cryptohopper setup process when connecting to Poloniex, even if your API Keys are correct. The most common reasons for this are insufficient funds in your exchange account, insufficient funds in your trading account (as some crypto exchanges differentiate between funding and trading accounts), or lack of exchange user verification (KYC). In this case, please click ‘Continue without testing’. You can always test your API Keys later in the basic settings.
First step.
If you haven’t already, log in to the Poloniex website and create an account.
Step two.
Verify your account and go to your profile and then to API Keys.
Step three.
Allow API access and enter your verification code.
Step four.
To create a new API, click the “Create API” button and select “Trading” and “Unrestricted” as the access level. You will then need to re-enter your verification code to complete the process.
Fifth stage.
Go to the basic settings in Cryptohopper and select “Exchange” and then “Poloniex”.
Step six.
To link your Poloniex account with Cryptohopper, copy the API Keys displayed on Poloniex and paste them into the appropriate fields in Cryptohopper. Don’t forget to save your changes. It may take a moment for the bot to link everything, but once it’s done, your balance should be visible in Cryptohopper.
Can’t see your stock market balance?
If you are unable to see your exchange balance, there may be some issues preventing your bot from syncing with the exchange. One common reason is that your browser has auto-fill enabled. To fix this, you can try disabling auto-fill, using incognito mode, using a different browser, or turning off your password manager.
