Creating an API key is important, it acts as a bridge between you and the exchange. The Cryptohopper platform needs this bridge to do all the automated things you love, such as: placing automated orders and reading your balance to perform various calculations.
You may encounter an error during the Cryptohopper connection process when connecting to HTX , even if your API keys are correct. Common reasons include insufficient funds in your exchange account, insufficient funds in your trading account (as some crypto exchanges distinguish between funding and trading accounts), or you are not a verified user on the exchange (KYC). In this case, click ‘Continue without verification’. You can verify your API keys later in the basic settings.
Step one school
Go to the exchange website, and open an account if you haven’t already. In this case, check out HTX .
Step two
Create your API.
Go to the API settings page, which can be found by clicking the profile button and then clicking “Manage API”.

Give your API key an easy-to-remember name, such as “Cryptohopper API Key”. You have the option to associate an IP address, which is necessary. Copy the IP addresses displayed in Cryptohopper and paste them here.
Click “Create”. You will now get a pop-up window. Check the boxes and click “I understand”. Confirm if necessary.
The withdrawal option is there, but Cryptohopper does not need it to trade. Therefore, enabling it would be a security risk! As a rule of thumb, Cryptohopper needs all settings except withdrawal to trade properly.

Fifth stage
Confirm the API key in HTX and click login in Cryptohopper. Give the bot a few moments to connect everything and your balance should be loaded.
Can’t see your stock market balance?
If you are unable to see your exchange balance, there may be some issues preventing your bot from syncing with the exchange. A common cause is that your browser has autofill enabled. To fix this, you can try disabling autofill, using incognito mode, using a different browser, or disabling your password manager.
