To enable your bot to communicate with Bybit , you need to create an API key. This key acts as a link between Cryptohopper and the exchange, allowing the bot to perform tasks such as placing automated orders and accessing your balance for calculations. Essentially, the API key serves as a means for your bot to communicate with the exchange and perform the actions required for automated trading.
You may encounter an error during the Cryptohopper login process when connecting to Bybit, even if your API keys are correct. Common reasons for this include insufficient funds in your exchange account, insufficient funds in your trading account (since some exchanges differentiate between funding accounts and trading accounts), or you do not have an exchange-verified user certificate (KYC). In this case, click ‘Continue without verification’. You can always verify your API keys later in your basic settings.
First step
If you haven’t done so yet, go to the Bybit website and create an account.
Step two
Verify your account and get started. Click the profile button in the top right corner and click “Subaccount”.
Third stage
Click “API Management” for the sub-account where you want to create an API key.
To create an API, click “Create New API.” Then, select what type of key you want to create. Click “System-generated API Keys.”
Step four
Required permissions can also be found in the image below. To get started, give your API key a name.
You will need to grant “Read-Write” permissions and ensure that “only IPs with granted permissions are allowed to access OpenAPI.” The required IP addresses can be obtained from your Cryptohopper account.
Check the box next to “Standard Account” and “Trade”.
Additionally, check the boxes for “Assets” and “Exchange History.” There is no need to select any additional boxes.
Finally, click “Submit” and confirm.
Fifth stage
Copy the API keys displayed on Bybit and paste them into Cryptohopper. Then, save the changes in both Bybit and Cryptohopper. Wait a few seconds for the bot to make the connections, after which your account balance should be visible.
Unable to see the balance in the stock market
If you are unable to see your balance on the exchange, there may be a number of issues preventing your bot from syncing with the exchange. One common reason is that the “auto-fill” button is enabled in your browser. To fix this, you can try disabling auto-fill, using incognito mode, a different browser, or disabling your password manager.
