How to connect Coinbase Advanced to Crypto Hopper
To enable seamless interaction between your bot and Coinbase Advanced , the Cryptohopper platform offers two options. You can use Fast Connect, which involves connecting your Coinbase Advanced account directly to Cryptohopper (the most convenient option), or create an API Key. Both methods establish a secure connection between Cryptohopper and the exchange, allowing your bot to perform essential tasks such as automatically placing orders and accessing balance information for accurate calculations.
You may encounter an error during the Cryptohopper ordering process when connecting to Coinbase, even if your API Keys are correct. The most common reasons are: no funds in your exchange account, no funds in your trading account (as some crypto brokers differentiate between funding accounts and trading accounts), or you are not a verified user on the exchange (KYC). In this case, please click ‘Continue without testing’. You can always test your API Keys later in your basic settings.
Create API Keys in Coinbase Advanced
Start trading on Coinbase Advanced by creating API Keys:
First step.
If you haven’t already, go to the Coinbase website and open an account.
Step two.
Verify your account and get started with the API by navigating to API Key by clicking here .
Step three.
Click ‘Create API Key’ and select ‘Trading Key’.
Step four.
Name your API Key, select your ‘Default’ charts, and enable the ‘View’ and ‘Trade’ options. Also, copy and paste the IP addresses you see in the Cryptohopper basic settings under ‘Exchange’ or from the Coinbase Advanced Connection screen during your Cryptohopper order.
Fifth stage.
Click ‘Create and Download’ and complete 2FA.
Step Six
Copy the API Key name and paste it under ‘API Key’ in Cryptohopper. Copy the Private key and paste it under ‘API Secret’ in Cryptohopper.
Seventh stage.
To connect your Coinbase account to Cryptohopper, you will need to copy the API Key and API Secret displayed in Coinbase and paste them into the appropriate fields in Cryptohopper.
Step Eight
Select ‘Cloud API Keys (new)’ as the API Key category and click Save. Your bot is now connected to Coinbase Advanced.
Unable to see balance on the stock exchange
If you are unable to see your exchange balance, there may be a few issues preventing your bot from syncing with the exchange. One common cause is that your browser has auto-fill enabled. To fix this, you can try disabling auto-fill, using incognito mode, using a different browser, or disabling your password manager.
