How to set up a virtual trading robot with the Crypto Hopper app

This guide shows how to set up a Paper Trading bot with the Cryptohopper app for iOS or Android and explains the settings that need to be filled out.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure of the following:

  • You have an account on Cryptohopper .
  • You have an Explorer, Adventurer, or Hero subscription from Cryptohopper .
  • You want to set up the Paper Trading bot through the app. If you want to do it on the website, you can check out this article.

Setting up a Paper Trading Bot

  1. Click on your bot’s name at the top of the app.

  2. Click “Add new bot”.

  3. Select the exchange you want to use by clicking on it.

  4. Click on “Paper trading”.

  5. Select your quote currency by clicking on it.

  6. Choose whether you want to “Follow Signals” (A) or create a “Trading Bot” (B). A. Select Signaller by clicking “Select”.

    B. Choose your risk level by clicking on the desired level.

  7. You will now get a general view. Check if everything is correct. If not, go back and change it or click “Start Trading”.

  8. If you want to see all the settings, click on the bot you just created.

  9. Click the settings button in the upper right corner.

  10. Click on “Baseconfig”.

  11. Click on “Basic Settings” and fill in the fields.

  12. Click on “Stock Exchange” and fill in the fields. Click on “Save”.

  13. Click “Alerts” and fill in the fields. This tab is optional. Click “Save.”

  14. Click “Purchase Settings” and fill in the fields. Click “Save.”

  15. Click on “Currencies and Amounts” and fill in the fields. Click on “Save”.

  16. Click on “Strategy” and fill in the fields. Click on “Save”.

  17. Click on “Trailing Stop- Buy” and fill in the fields. This tab is optional. Click on “Save”.

  18. Click on “Sales Settings” and fill in the fields. Click on “Save”.

  19. Click on “Sales Strategy” and fill in the fields. Click on “Save”.

  20. Click on “Stop-Loss” and fill in the fields. This tab is optional. Click on “Save”.

  21. Click on “Trailing Stop-Loss” and fill in the fields. This tab is optional. Click on “Save”.

  22. Click “Auto Close” and fill in the fields. This tab is optional. Click “Save.”

  23. Click on “Shortcut Settings” and fill in the fields. This tab is optional. Click on “Save”.

  24. Click on “Dollar Cost Averaging” and fill in the fields. This tab is optional. Click “Save.”
